STORY
Roxie is a Chiweenie (Chihuahua/
Dachshund Mix) rescued from the All American Dachsund Rescue in Lewisburg, TN. She is spirited and very athletic. She joined the family in March of 2013. She was around four years old when she was adopted. Roxie is a specialist at escaping.
Roxie
It all started with a little red miniature dachshund named Desi. Then came Whitney, Suzy Q, Joey, Lamont and Roxie...
My love for weenie dogs continued to grow as I continued to rescue these little treasures from Dallas, Houston and Tennessee. I started doing a holiday card in 1998 and weenie dogs were always the theme - "Walkin in a Weenie Wonderland", "Jingle Weenie", "Weenie Dogs Rock", "Here Come Weenie Dogs", "Country Western Weenie Band" - you get the idea. There is always a picture, and a poem or a song usually dealing with the holiday. I have run through most of the popular carols. I wanted to do more than just the holiday card so I decided I wanted everyone to know about my passion for rescue and this sweet breed. I am Wild About Weenies and I want everyone to know!
Lamont
Lamont looks just like a mini black lab. He is a lover not a fighter. He was also rescued from DROH in September 2006, and was about two years old. He is a super sensitive boy. He loves to burrow and cuddle.
Joey
Joey was rescued from the Dachshund Rescue of Houston (DROH) in September of 2006. At the time he was listed as 1-3 years old but was most likely 3-4 years old. He had endured two bouts with heartworms and has also come back strong from three back surgeries. Joey is the "million dollar dog".
